The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

  • Oversee short to long-range planning processes to ensure all key resources, facilities, materials, work-in-progress and finished goods strategies are developed to support the customer service requirements of the business.
  • Drive the development and implementation of analytical tools to improve site-level inventory modelling and inter-company material flows.
  • Collaborate with the site Materials Managers and Supply Chain Director to develop appropriate replenishment strategies for all raw material, intermediate, and finished goods inventories.
  • Ensure >95% On-Time Despatch through proactive supply chain management and collaboration across all commercial and operational parts of the business.
  • Support the implementation of common Quality Management Systems to align with Group best practices, helping sites to qualify for customer quality certification (Aero Excellence).
  • Develop a data-driven approach to drive supply chain improvements, leading project teams to support efficiency and growth over the 5-year STRAP horizon.
  • Collaborate with the commercial community to ensure the implications of demand through the supply chain are fully understood, communicated and managed.
  • Perform scenario and sensitivity analysis to evaluate multiple business options and impacts.
  • Manage and ensure active participation in the S&OP process to ensure complete alignment of supply and demand through the extended supply chain.

Qualifications:

  • University degree or equivalent professional experience in Business, Engineering or Finance.
  • Analytical skills, ability to collate large amounts of data, analyse the information and draw conclusions.
  • Strong experience using ERP systems.
  • Management experience within a manufacturing organisation, with either a background in Operations or a close working interface with production teams.
  • A background working with industry-wide quality management systems (cf. automotive, medical device, food safety…)
  • Ability to drive change management and influence stakeholders across all levels and disciplines.
  • Experience in leading improvement projects at manufacturing sites.
  • Ability to handle competing priorities within a matrix organisation.
  • APICS certification or equivalent qualification desirable.
  • Willing to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the country where the position is based.
