About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our workshop team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the assembly, testing, and maintenance of mechanical components and sub-systems for our automation projects. You will also be involved in occasional on-site work at customer locations throughout the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and test mechanical components and sub-systems according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues.
- Assist with the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of automation systems at customer sites.
- Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in mechanical assembly and maintenance.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience of CAD beneficial but not essential
- Willingness to travel within the UK.
