About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and clinical practice. As an AI Fellow, you’ll work within a fast-paced, high-performing team to build the future of safe and effective clinical AI. You’ll collaborate closely with our own ML engineers, product managers, and clinical safety experts, contributing to every stage of our AI development lifecycle—from data curation to training, evaluation and implementation. You will work with internal and external experts to ensure our products remain compliant with relevant regulatory requirements.

What You Will Do

  • Clinical Data & Machine Learning
    • Collaborate with ML and software engineers to improve data pipelines and model performance.
    • Support data annotation, curation, and optimisation to ensure high-quality training datasets.
    • Apply and evaluate state-of-the-art ML models for real-world healthcare use cases.
  • Model Evaluation & Alignment
    • Design and conduct evaluations of AI models for accuracy, bias, robustness, and safety.
    • Develop novel techniques for aligning model outputs with expectations.
    • Contribute to the academic conversation at the forefront of LLM evaluation and interpretability.
  • Clinical Safety & Product Design
    • Embed safety principles across AI model development, deployment, and clinical integration.
    • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure compliant training, safe workflows, intuitive interfaces, and clinical safeguards.
    • Inform safety case documentation and risk assessment strategies.
  • Collaboration & Delivery
    • Partner with researchers, engineers, and product managers to rapidly deliver impactful projects.
    • Contribute to strategic discussions on AI product development and clinical integration.
    • Communicate findings and insights clearly across both technical and clinical audiences.
