Hexagon Recruitment is looking for an experienced Bench Joiner to join a manufacturing client in Deeside as soon as possible, on a temp-to-perm basis. The work involves laminate and veneer panels and drilling and routing aluminium extrusions.,
- Operating routers, hand trimmers, pillar drills and chop saws
- Machining and assembling components accurately from drawings and cutting lists
- Inspecting and measuring work to meet quality standards
- Preventative maintenance of machinery and equipment
- Supporting other areas of the factory when needed
- Training and supporting other staff
- Following safe working practices and wearing the correct PPE
2-3 years minimum in joinery, woodworking, furniture manufacturing, shopfitting or a similar environment - Experience with laminates, veneers, hardwoods, softwoods and sheet materials
- Good understanding of technical drawings
- A trade qualification (NVQ Level 2/3) or an apprenticeship in a joinery-related discipline is preferred
- GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
- Comfortable in a physically demanding role
- A forklift licence is desirable
