We are currently recruiting for an IT Helpdesk Technician to join our client's team based in Knutsford. This is an excellent opportunity for an IT professional looking for a temporary role with the potential to secure a permanent position.
Working on-site, you will provide internal IT support across the business, ensuring colleagues receive efficient and effective technical assistance to maintain smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing first-line IT support to internal users across the company
- Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues
- Logging, monitoring, and updating support tickets
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining IT hardware and software
- Supporting users with system access, passwords, and general IT queries
- Escalating more complex technical issues where appropriate
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Assisting with ongoing IT projects and system improvements
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Previous experience within an IT Helpdesk, Service Desk, or Technical Support role
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Experience using IT ticketing systems
- An understanding of systems such as Dot Matrix would be advantageous
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn new skills
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
