Location: Knutsford

Pay Rate: £14.90 per hour

Contract: Temporary / Temp-to-Perm

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Working Hours: Flexible between 8:00am and 5:00pm

We are currently recruiting for an IT Helpdesk Technician to join our client's team based in Knutsford. This is an excellent opportunity for an IT professional looking for a temporary role with the potential to secure a permanent position.

Working on-site, you will provide internal IT support across the business, ensuring colleagues receive efficient and effective technical assistance to maintain smooth day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing first-line IT support to internal users across the company
  • Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues
  • Logging, monitoring, and updating support tickets
  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining IT hardware and software
  • Supporting users with system access, passwords, and general IT queries
  • Escalating more complex technical issues where appropriate
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation
  • Assisting with ongoing IT projects and system improvements

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience within an IT Helpdesk, Service Desk, or Technical Support role
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience using IT ticketing systems
  • An understanding of systems such as Dot Matrix would be advantageous
  • A proactive approach and willingness to learn new skills
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
