Nationwide Travelling role £44,000 – £49,000 per year plus overtime

Job Summary: Access Control & CCTV Engineer will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Access Control & CCTV and Retail EPOS barrier systems. This role requires a strong understanding of electronic security systems and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. This role will also include other installation work for the company, including but not limited to the installation of network infrastructure cabling (Cat5, Cat6, Cat6a etc.)

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Install, configure, and maintain access control & CCTV systems and EPOS barrier systems, including hardware and software components.
  2. Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of access control & CCTV and EPOS barrier systems to ensure optimal performance.
  3. Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs and provide tailored solutions.
  4. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all installations and maintenance activities.
  5. Keep detailed records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.

Qualifications:

  1. Experience in installing and maintaining access control & CCTV and EPOS barrier systems.
  2. Strong knowledge of electronic security systems, including key card access, biometric systems, and intercom systems.
  3. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  5. Strong communication and customer service skills.
  6. Experience with Verkada security systems is an advantage.

These roles will be travelling positions and travel anywhere within the UK could be required on a regular basis. However, candidates will ideally be located in the South East.
