We are recruiting on behalf of a leading logistics and container haulage company for a skilled Traffic / Transport Planner to join their dynamic team. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient planning, coordination, and compliance of transport operations while maintaining excellent customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities- Plan and allocate resources efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries and collections.
- Assign drivers to routes while ensuring compliance with working hours, legal requirements, and operational efficiency.
- Communicate with port expeditors/supervisors to ensure jobs are being dispatched correctly.
- Arrange parking and night-out procedures, maintain driver notes, and liaise with HR on driver-related issues.
- Work closely with the CS team to resolve day-to-day issues.
- Liaise with Fleet Management for truck and trailer servicing.
- Ensure smooth operational handover and system maintenance at the end of the working week.
- Prior experience in container haulage is essential.
- Understanding of VBS systems for ports, TOPS, Destin8, and other transport management tools.
- Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and transport planning software.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, resolve issues quickly, and work under pressure.
- Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and on-call availability when required.
