We’re recruiting Airside Drivers to join our team at London Heathrow Cargo Terminals. This temp-to-perm opportunity offers a competitive pay structure and genuine career progression. In this role, you’ll play a key part in airside transportation and cargo handling, ensuring all deliveries are carried out safely and on time within the airport.\\nPLEASE NOTE: Applicants must have either:\\n * Previous Airside driving experience, or\\n * A valid Class 1 (HGV1), Class 2 (HGV2), or Bus (PCV) licence with proven driving experience.\\nApplications that do not meet this requirement will not be considered.\\nLocation: London Heathrow Airport – Cargo Terminals\\nShifts: 4 on 2 off pattern (8.5 hours per shift)\\n * Early Shifts: Start between 05:00 – 06:00 AM\\n * Late Shifts: Start between 13:00 – 16:00 PM\\nPay Rate:\\n * Basic Pay: £15.31 per hour\\n * Overtime (after 37.5 hours per week): Enhanced Rates Apply\\n * Monday to Friday: 1.5x Basic Pay\\n * Weekends & Bank Holidays: 2x Basic Pay\\nKey Responsibilities:\\n * Operating HGV2 / Cat C vehicles and other approved airside vehicles\\n * Transporting cargo and freight within the airport\\n * Following strict airport security and safety regulations\\n * Communicating effectively with colleagues and supervisors\\n * Working under pressure in a fast-paced airport environment\\nRequirements:\\nTo be successfu in this role, you must have one of the following:\\n✔✔ HGV1 Licence – minimum 6 consecutive months driving experience\\n✔ HGV2 / Cat C / Class 2 licence – experience in driving vehicles larger than 18 Tonnes – minimum 6 consecutive months driving experience\\n✔ BUS / Coach Drivers (Double Deck experience) – minimum of two consecutive years of recent driving experience.\\n✔ 7.5 Tonnes Truck – minimum of two consecutive years of recent driving experience.\\n✔ Airside Driving experience on vehicles larger than 18 Tonnes is beneficial\\nAdditional Skills & Qualities:\\n✔ Previous airfreight experience – preferred but not essential\\n✔ A good level of physical fitness – essential\\n✔ Ability to follow instructions and work under pressure\\n✔ Strong communication skills (written & verbal)\\n✔ High sense of responsibility and attention to Health and Safety regulations\\n✔ Have a strong sense of ownership and responsibility.\\n✔ Ability to work under pressure.\\nBenefits:\\n✔ Excellent Pay & Overtime Rates – Earn up to 2x Basic Pay on weekends & holidays\\n✔ Long-Term Career Opportunity – Temp-to-perm role with stability\\n✔ Immediate Start – Agency drivers enjoy enhanced rates from day one\\n✔ Exciting & Dynamic Work Environment – Be part of Heathrow’s fast-paced cargo operations\\n✔ Full Training & Support Provided – To help you succeed in your role\\nAt Hexagon Recruitment Partners, we truly care about the transport and logistics industry — it’s what we know, and it’s what we’re passionate about.
