We are seeking an ambitious and technically minded Technical Sales Manager to join our commercial team, specialising in CAD/CAM software solutions for the metals manufacturing industry. Covering customers across Ireland, you will play a key role in delivering revenue growth by achieving sales order targets and expanding our customer footprint.

In this position, you will be responsible for developing and managing new and existing customer relationships through a solution-based selling approach, and representing one of the industry's most respected digital manufacturing portfolios. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a solid grounding in technical B2B sales and a genuine interest in advanced manufacturing technologies. The role involves regular customer visits across the territory (up to 70% winters), supported by a collaborative team and comprehensive training.

Responsibilities
  • Achieve defined sales targets across your assigned territory through effective account management and new business development.
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships, ensuring a strong understanding of customer needs, manufacturing processes, and business objectives.
  • Analyse manufacturing workflows to identify challenges and propose tailored solutions from the Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence CAD/CAM portfolio.
  • Plan and deliver engaging product demonstrations, customer visits, and technical presentations.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead qualification through proposal, negotiation, and deal closure, including accurate preparation of quotations.
  • Qualify and nurture leads generated through marketing activities, events, partners, and own prospecting efforts.
  • Collaborate with marketing, technical, and partner teams to support lead generation, campaigns, and customer success.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and activity records in Salesforce, following Hexagon best practices and ensuring forecast accuracy.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to help inform sales strategy and business decisions.
  • Stay current with Hexagon product developments, licensing models, and industry trends to provide informed, consultative guidance to customers.
Requirements
  • Minimum of two years' experience in technical B2B sales, ideally within manufacturing, production engineering, CNC programming, or CAD/CAM solutions.
  • Confident communicator with strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate manufacturing challenges into business opportunities.
