We are growing and looking for a Director, Business Operations EMEA (m/w/d) to join our team. The role is ideal for a commercially minded leader who combines strategic thinking with operational rigor and enjoys working across functions to improve how business gets done.
As Director, Business Operations EMEA, you will help shape and lead business operations activities across the region, bringing structure, visibility, speed, and continuous improvement to commercial and operational processes. You will play a key role in supporting scalable growth while ensuring operational excellence and strong business performance.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and develop business operations activities with a strong focus on operational discipline, visibility, governance, and performance across the region.
- Partner with sales teams and key stakeholders to improve commercial and operational processes, workflows, and business outcomes.
- Support and optimize order management activities to ensure efficient and timely customer order processing.
- Drive operational initiatives, performance metrics, reporting frameworks, and continuous improvement programs aligned with business objectives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally on quoting, commercial processes, forecasting, reporting, and execution excellence.
- Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and scale business processes across multiple countries and business units.
- Contribute to strategic projects requiring both structured problem-solving and hands-on execution.
- Provide insights and recommendations to leadership through data analysis, business reviews, and operational reporting.
Qualifications
- Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Commercial Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 7+ years of experience in Business Operations, Sales Operations, Commercial Excellence, Strategy, or similar operational leadership roles, including people leadership responsibilities.
- Strong commercial mindset with experience partnering closely with sales organizations; direct sales experience is considered an advantage.
- Experience leading or supporting order management teams and customer-facing operational processes.
- Proven ability to influence and align stakeholders across a complex, matrixed international organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Demonstrated success in designing, improving, and scaling business processes rather than simply maintaining existing structures.
- Curious, proactive, and comfortable challenging the status quo by asking the right questions and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Ability to balance strategic initiatives with hands-on execution and operational detail.
- Industry background is flexible; we welcome candidates from a variety of sectors.
- Willingness to travel approximately 25–30% across the EMEA region.
- Fluent English language skills are required; additional European languages are an advantage.
