About The Role

The

Reality Capture Sales Specialist is responsible for driving profitable growth across Leica Geosystems' Reality Capture Hardware and Software portfolio.

The role focuses on developing existing customer relationships, securing new business opportunities, and expanding Leica's presence across the surveying, construction, heavy construction, plant, and emerging industry sectors.

Working closely with the UK Sales Manager for Reality Capture, the postholder will manage an assigned territory of strategic accounts, identify and develop new markets, and promote the adoption of innovative reality capture technologies.

The role requires a strong understanding of Leica solutions, competitor offerings, and industry trends to deliver sales growth, maximise market share, and achieve individual and team commercial objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Generate profitable sales growth across Leica Geosystems' Reality Capture Hardware and Software portfolio, achieving agreed sales revenue, gross margin (ANSP), and performance targets.
  • Develop and grow business opportunities with existing and prospective customers across surveying, construction, heavy construction, utilities, plant, and other relevant industry sectors.
  • Manage an assigned territory of strategic accounts, building strong customer relationships, identifying customer needs, and ensuring accounts are retained, supported, and developed to maximise business potential.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities within new and emerging markets, including competitor-held accounts, to increase market share and drive adoption of Leica Reality Capture technologies and solutions.
  • Promote Leica products, services, new technologies, and innovations through customer engagement, demonstrations, presentations, exhibitions, conferences, and industry events.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, provide technical sales support, and help resolve product-related issues to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and successful solution adoption.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of Leica's Reality Capture portfolio, industry applications, competitor offerings, market trends, and emerging technologies to support effective customer engagement and sales strategy.
  • Manage and maintain a robust sales pipeline through Salesforce (SFDC), ensuring all leads, opportunities, customer interactions, and sales activities are accurately recorded and progressed in a timely manner.
  • Produce accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, activity reports, market intelligence, and other business information as required, providing reliable feedback and recommendations to management.
  • Contribute to the development of sales strategies, business plans, product roadmaps, and growth initiatives by providing market insight, customer feedback, and commercial recommendations.
  • Deliver product and sales training to dealers, channel partners, distributors, and representatives as required, ensuring they are equipped to effectively promote Leica Reality Capture solutions.
  • Collaborate effectively with Sales, Technical Support, Marketing, Product Specialists, Customer Services, and other internal stakeholders to achieve business objectives and deliver an excellent customer experience.
  • Maintain effective internal communication, accurately document meetings and agreed actions, and ensure follow-up activities are completed within agreed timescales.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, statutory requirements, and health and safety obligations while conducting business activities.
  • Undertake any other duties reasonably required by management that are consistent with the responsibilities and level of the role.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience

Essential

  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent professional experience in a business, engineering, surveying, geospatial, construction, technology, or related discipline.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets within a business-to-business (B2B) sales environment.
  • Demonstrable experience of selling complex technical products, software, solutions, or services directly to end users.
  • Strong understanding of Reality Capture technologies and applications, including laser scanning, reality capture software, digital construction, surveying, and geospatial solutions.
  • Experience developing business within surveying, construction, heavy construction, utilities, engineering, or related sectors.
  • Proven ability to identify, develop, and win new business opportunities while growing existing customer accounts.
  • Experience managing sales pipelines, customer opportunities, forecasting, and reporting through a CRM system (preferably Salesforce).
  • Excellent communication, influencing, presentation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers, partners, and stakeholders at all organisational levels.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to understand customer requirements and develop valuebased solutions.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver sales forecasts, business reports, proposals, business plans, and customer presentations to a high standard.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven, with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
  • Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities simultaneously.
  • Commitment to acting in accordance with Hexagon's values, policies, and ethical standards.
  • Full UK driving licence.

  • Experience within the geospatial, surveying, construction technology, reality capture, or digital construction sectors.
  • Knowledge of Leica Geosystems products and solutions.
  • Experience delivering product demonstrations, technical presentations, workshops, or customer training.
  • Understanding of channel partner, dealer, or distributor networks.
  • Experience contributing to sales strategies, business planning, market development initiatives, and product feedback programmes.
  • Knowledge of competitor products, industry trends, and emerging technologies within the reality capture market.
