Job Summary
Job title: Peripatetic Residential Support Worker
Location: Northeast Cluster (Houghton-Le-Spring, Darlington, Stockton-On-Tees)
Hours:37 hours per week plus sleep ins and mileage
Salary: £24,073 – £27,453 depending on experience
Additional Payment: £2000.00 P.A. while in this role, mileage from home address to place of work.
Sleep ins: £45 per night (average 10 per month)
Shift Pattern:flexible subject to homes you are working in.
Annual Leave Entitlement: 222 Hours

The Role
This exciting opportunity offers the right candidate the chance to gain experience across a variety of homes across the cluster, working with the therapy teams as appropriate and helping to support and develop services through mentoring and guidance. It will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to quickly develop experience in a variety of settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support young people in a range of activities, including cooking, cleaning, outings, and taking part in games and appointments.
- Manage challenging behaviours effectively and professionally, with support from senior staff and therapeutic services.
- Create a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for young people, ensuring they feel heard and valued.
- Collaborate with psychologists and the therapy team to establish appropriate boundaries and strategies for supporting the children in your care
Criteria for the role:
- Desirable: QCF Level 3 Residential Childcare/Level 3 Diploma Children and Young People’s Workforce, or level 4 qualification
- Essential:Full UK driving licence and access to vehicle with business use insurance.
