Job Description
Job title: Residential Support Worker
Home: Park View
Location: Accrington
Hours: 40.5 hours per week (Guaranteed contracted hours, primarily covering gaps in the rota due to planned leave and staff training)
Salary: £26,350 – £30,050 (depending on experience and qualifications)
Shift Pattern: This role does not follow a fixed shift pattern. You will work across 7 days, with scheduled days off and one full weekend off each month.
Sleep-In Duties: There is a requirement to complete sleep-in shifts as part of the role.
Annual Leave Entitlement: 243 hours

The Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated ResidentialSupportWorker to join our team at Park View Children’s Home. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and working alongside an experienced, skilled team of professionals. You will help provide essential support to young people in care, assisting them with daily activities, appointments, and behavioural management, all while creating a positive and nurturing home environment. You will be joining a large team of dedicated and committed staff who support children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), learning disabilities (LD), and complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:
· Support young people in a range of activities, including cooking, cleaning, outings, and taking part in games and appointments.
· Manage challenging behaviours effectively and professionally, with support from senior staff and therapeutic services.
· Create a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for young people, ensuring they feel heard and valued.
· Collaborate with psychologists and the therapy team to establish appropriate boundaries and strategies for supporting the children in your care.
· Some children require personal care. You will be expected to support children in all aspects of their lives, including participation in various activities.
