Responsibilities

Introduction

The SIG UK Sales Support Specialist will deliver services that will bring greater efficiency to the SIG UK sales organisation. The key responsibilities of the role are related to:

  • Sales team support – to deliver services that underpin a robust, data-driven, reportable sales function
  • Bid support – to deliver services that enable the smooth delivery of bids and the bidding process
  • Marketing support – to provide support to the SIG UK Marketing function in support of marketing activity planning and execution

Tasks

  • To become familiar with the SIG UK product and service portfolio and how it should be recorded in company tools throughout the sales process
  • Monitor procurement portals and bring forward potential opportunities to the sales team
  • With the sales staff, enter data in company tools in support of the sales process:
    • Sales Force DotCom
    • CPQ
  • Seek updates from the sales staff to allow you to review and update company tools
  • Define, or work with others to define, reports that may be accessible from these tools
  • Administrative support to Sales staff as may be from time to time requested
  • Bidding
    • Scheduling bid review meetings
    • Downloading and logging of bids
    • Establishment and maintenance of the bid resource plan
    • Preparation of bid documentation and material
    • Complete generic company related information in bids
    • Minute taking and action tracking
    • Other support as may be requested in support of bid management
  • Marketing
    • Provide administrative support as may be requested by the SIG UK Marketing function
    • Ordering of marketing related investments such as sponsorship packages, event participation, supplies and materials etc.
    • Event preparation, execution and post event support
    • Potential attendance at marketing events which may include overnight stays for up to two nights (this is limited to a maximum of two events per year and is not forecast to change)
    • Post event admin including e.g. entry of lead and contact information into company systems

Education / Qualifications

  • You have a minimum of four years of experience in a similar role with either a degree, Diploma or Certificate in business administration or another relevant professional certification
  • You are proficient with MS Office 365 applications
  • You should have previous working knowledge of SFDC and “Configure, Price, Quote” (CPQ) style systems
  • You are passionate about business quality and efficiency
  • Can demonstrate aptitude to learn new systems and procedures
  • Have good verbal and written communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • You are confident in yourself and a good team player
  • You will be able to demonstrate flexibility and compromise at the right time
