As an Applications Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting and enabling our customers to successfully adopt and use ALPHACAM software in their day-to-day manufacturing operations. This is a field-based, customer-facing role combining software installation, technical support, consulting, and training. You will work closely with customers to integrate ALPHACAM into their production environments, help resolve technical challenges, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the after-sales lifecycle.
Job Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and integrate ALPHACAM software into customer production environments
- Provide technical support via Helpdesk, E-Support, and Support Portal, diagnosing and resolving software-related issues
- Deliver onsite and online training sessions for customers, end users, and internal teams
- Consult with customers on best practices, workflows, and optimization of ALPHACAM usage
- Build strong customer relationships, follow up on resolved cases, and contribute to continuous service improvement
Qualifications
- Min. 3 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing, shop-floor, or technical support environment
- Practical understanding of CNC machinery, manufacturing processes, or CAD/CAM principles
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with high attention to detail
- Customer-focused mindset with excellent communication skills in English
- Willingness to travel frequently (up to approximately 70%) within the UK and Ireland, including overnight stays
