Eminox is looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused IT Support Technician / IT Support Engineer to join our growing IT team. Supporting over 300 employees across multi-site global locations, you'll play a key role in keeping our systems running smoothly and ensuring our teams get the best possible support. Reporting to the IT Manager, this is a hands-on role with plenty of opportunity to develop your technical skills and progress your career.
About Eminox: Eminox designs and manufactures exhaust after-treatment systems that reduce emissions from heavy-duty vehicles and equipment. We supply original equipment to meet the latest emissions standards, produce complete retrofit emissions systems to support air quality products.
What you'll be doing:
- Providing first-class IT support to staff across the business
- Managing and resolving service desk tickets within agreed service levels
- Building and deploying physical and virtual hardware to meet business needs
- Installing and configuring server and client software
- Creating and managing user accounts in Office 365 and Teams (including groups and password management)
- Supporting network resources, permissions, and fault diagnostics
- Maintaining smartphones and company devices
- Delivering Office 365 support and user guidance/training
- Diagnosing hardware faults and arranging repairs or supplier returns
- Liaising with suppliers for quotes and IT equipment/consumables
What we're looking for:
- Full, clean driving licence
- GCSE (or equivalent) in ICT, Maths and English
- Experience supporting PCs (hardware/software)
- Experience using a ticketing system and understanding SLAs
- A positive, can do attitude and willingness to be the face of IT
- Customer-focused, organised, and quick to learn
- Technical skills: 3+ years experience in a similar IT support role
- Higher-level ICT qualification (NVQ Level 3, A-Level, Degree or equivalent)
- Knowledge of: Windows Server 2012/2022, Windows 10/11, VMware vSphere 7.0/8.0, Veeam backups, PowerShell, Intune, Entra ID, Active Directory / DNS / DHCP / DFS / GPO, Meraki wireless access points, ExaGrid tiered backup storage
- Confident communication skills at all levels
