Global Engineering Leadership Role | Automotive / Aerospace / Advanced Manufacturing
International Travel Required on occasion to our international plants located in Romania, India and Mexico.
Our Teconnex site is now recruiting for an experienced and forward‑thinking Engineering Manager to lead and develop our engineering function across a global organisation operating within highly regulated manufacturing environments. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing multidisciplinary engineering activities across Product Design & Development, Project Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Engineering Support Functions. In addition to leading local engineering teams, you will operate as a global technical authority, driving alignment, governance, engineering standards, and best practice across international subsidiaries.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and deliver engineering strategy aligned to business objectives
- Drive engineering excellence across product development, industrialisation, and project delivery
- Develop and implement global engineering standards, processes, and governance frameworks
- Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams, ensuring delivery to quality, cost, and timing targets
- Provide technical leadership and guidance across international engineering teams
- Align engineering methodologies, tools, and best practices globally
- Manage engineering risk, validation, APQP, PPAP, and change management processes
- Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
- Coach and develop engineering capability across the organisation
- Support innovation, technology roadmaps, and continuous improvement initiatives
What We’re Looking For
- Extensive engineering leadership experience within automotive, aerospace, or regulated manufacturing environments
- Strong understanding of product development, design engineering, project engineering, and manufacturing processes
- Proven ability to lead complex engineering programmes and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, structured product development, and engineering governance
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience driving continuous improvement and organisational capability development
- Familiarity with standards such as IATF 16949 and/or AS9100
Desirable Experience
- Experience working within global or multi‑site engineering organisations
- Experience supporting organisational transformation or restructuring
- Exposure to product strategy or technology roadmap development
- Project management qualifications
- Membership of a recognised engineering institution (e.g. IMechE)
Qualifications
Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline — or equivalent industry experience.
