Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of electrical systems within our facilities. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical principles, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and repair various electrical components. The Maintenance Electrician will play a crucial role in maintaining safety standards and ensuring minimal downtime in operations. Experience within an industrial area is essential along with experience of working with PLC\'s and conveyors.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems and equipment to identify potential issues.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on electrical components, including wiring, circuit breakers, and lighting systems.
  • Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs and installations.
  • Troubleshoot electrical faults and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance staff to ensure comprehensive facility upkeep.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs conducted.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols while performing tasks.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proficient in electrical systems, with a solid understanding of wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools relevant to electrical maintenance tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues quickly and accurately.
  • Excellent attention to detail, ensuring high-quality workmanship in all tasks performed.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating good communication skills.

  • Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Temp to perm
  • Pay: £30.51 per hour
  • Location: On-site, In person
  • Schedule: Full-time role (approx. 40 hours a week) with shift rotation
    • Week 1 = 6am - 2pm
    • Week 2 = 2pm - 10pm
