We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrician for a job at Salisbury Hospital installing LED lighting. Applicants must hold a valid JIB Gold card.
Duties
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment using hand tools and power tools.
- Conduct routine maintenance on electrical systems to prevent failures and ensure optimal performance.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals accurately.
- Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes and safety standards.
- Diagnose electrical issues efficiently and implement effective solutions promptly.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and installations for documentation purposes.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and team members to complete projects safely and on schedule.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with electrical systems in commercial or industrial settings.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, as well as power tools like drills and saws.
- Strong electrical experience with the ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
- Knowledge of local electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Valid electrician's license or certification as required by local regulations is preferred.
