We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Refrigeration Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing refrigeration systems across various facilities. This role requires a strong mechanical knowledge, the ability to interpret schematics, and leadership skills to oversee maintenance projects. Responsibilities
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on refrigeration systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues using technical schematics and diagnostic tools.
- Lead maintenance teams during complex repair or installation projects, providing guidance and supervision.
- Oversee the installation of new refrigeration equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and specifications.
- Perform system upgrades and modifications as required to improve efficiency or meet regulatory requirements.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance logs.
- Collaborate with other engineering teams to coordinate construction or refurbishment projects involving refrigeration systems.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
Experience
- Proven experience in mechanical systems, particularly in refrigeration, air conditioning, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of schematics, technical drawings, and system diagrams.
- Demonstrable leadership skills with experience supervising maintenance teams or projects.
- Skilled in equipment repair, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance programmes.
- Knowledge of construction processes related to installing or upgrading refrigeration systems is advantageous.
- Experience working with diverse types of refrigeration units and HVAC equipment is preferred.
