Hexa Services operates in the construction, civils, mechanical and electrical markets. We are currently recruiting for an electrical estimator for a permanent job with a client who is a NICEIC-approved, family-run electrical contractor delivering high-quality installations across the UK. They specialise in commercial refurbishment projects within the leisure and hospitality sectors, including pubs, golf courses, and hotels, as well as education facilities and commercial office environments.
As Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing accurate, competitive, and commercially sound tenders while upholding our company values and standards of quality.
- Preparing and delivering detailed electrical estimates in line with company standards and client requirements.
- Liaising with suppliers and wholesalers to secure competitive pricing and discounts.
- Issuing subcontractor packages, reviewing returns for compliance and pricing, and incorporating into costing documents.
- Producing full tender submissions using Ensign estimating software, including bills of quantities, schedules of work, and contractor proposal documents.
- Working closely with the Director to conduct tender reviews and agree final commercial mark-ups.
- Overseeing project handover to the Project Management team upon order placement.
- Providing ongoing commercial support during the contract phase, including variation management in collaboration with the Project Management team.
Minimum of 3 years experience as an Electrical Estimator within the construction industry. Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and installation methods. Proficiency in estimating software (Ensign preferred) and Microsoft Office applications. Full UK driving licence.
Salary: £55,000 per annum (depending on experience). Benefits include a company pension scheme, 28 days holiday (including bank holidays), company mobile phone and IT equipment, company events, and ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
