The predicted salary is between 40000 - 50000 £ per year.
Our client is looking for an experienced all round Civils' Site Manager / Foreman for a project near Birkenhead, on the Wirral. Experience in earthworks and remediation is essential.
Starting in the next 2 weeks, and working an 11 or 12 hour day, general all round duties include:
- First in, last out
- Undertake inductions and capture certificates and records
- Brief teams on daily and weekly targets
- Manage daily plant output targets and drive safety and performance
- Manage all plant needs: service, fuel, attachments, and driver teams, including tyre or maintenance needs
- Support with safety planning and daily briefings, providing guidance on method and needs
- Ensure focus on priority and programme, understanding targets and site needs
- Walk site maintenance checks are completed daily, focusing on every minute and its output
- Check CCTV for performance and driver attitude, ensuring security of works and keys, and that fuel and plant are secured correctly
- Liaise with engineering and environmental staff to coordinate level control, layer specifications, testing, and the capture of photo and as-built records
- Manage safety and Safety Auditor visits, reviewing and responding to reports if needed, and supporting 4 weekly lookahead safety planning
- Engage all team on site in safety planning and feedback
- Daily allocation sheet records and attain drivers' timesheets for review and sign off
- Liaise with security and assist site security management
Initially with a duration of up to 20 weeks, there are 2 more North West schemes that could result in this being a very long term opportunity, and an opportunity to work with colleagues well renowned within the North West civil engineering industry.
