Hexa Services is recruiting an experienced JIB Approved Electrician for a Leeds-based electrical contractor. This is specifically a temp-to-permanent opportunity for an electrician looking for a secure, long-term PAYE position. It is not intended as an ongoing CIS contract.
The package
- For the initial 12-week agency period, you will work through Hexa Services at: £27.00 per hour CIS
- Following successful completion of the 12 weeks, the intention is to transfer permanently to the contractor on: £20.08 per hour PAYE current JIB Approved Electrician rate
- Company van provided
- Permanent employment benefits full package to be confirmed
- The JIB rate will increase in line with the nationally agreed JIB rates which increases next April
Essential requirements
- JIB Approved Electrician grading not simply JIB Electrician
- 18th Edition
- 2391 or recognised current equivalent Inspection & Testing qualification
- Completed recognised electrical apprenticeship / NVQ Level 3
- Strong commercial electrical installation experience
- Ability and qualifications to inspect and test your own installation work
- Full UK driving licence
- Current CV/work history
You must also be able to provide copies of your qualification certificates and current ECS/JIB card before being put forward. The contractor undertakes commercial electrical work, so applicants should be experienced with installations including containment, tray, trunking, Unistrut, SWA cabling and associated commercial electrical works.

The £28 per hour CIS rate applies to the initial 12-week agency period only. This vacancy is aimed at electricians who actively want permanent PAYE employment after that period. The permanent rate is the applicable JIB Approved Electrician rate with a company vehicle provided, plus the contractor's permanent employment benefits.
