The HPE Private Cloud team delivers a best‑in‑class CloudOps software platform for Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) with HPE Morpheus, HVM, SDN, Zerto, and the broader HPE CloudOps portfolio. We are seeking a Principal Product Manager to define and execute HPE’s CSP product strategy, requiring a blend of technical depth, CSP domain expertise, customer engagement, and cross‑functional leadership.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the "Voice of the CSP" across the HPE CloudOps software portfolio
- Drive product requirements and roadmap priorities for CSP use cases, including:
- Multi‑tenancy
- Self‑service provisioning
- API‑first automation
- DRaaS / Backup
- SDN / networking
- Migration workflows
- Sovereign cloud requirements
- Kubernetes and container services
- Work closely with CSP customers, strategic partners, field teams, and engineering to identify product gaps and operational blockers
- Translate CSP business and operational requirements into clear product requirements and user stories
- Partner with engineering teams to prioritize features and drive roadmap execution
- Support beta programs, design partner engagements, and CSP technical validations
- Collaborate with Sales, GTM, Marketing, Support, and Solutions Engineering teams to accelerate CSP adoption
- Help define CSP reference architectures, operational workflows, and best practices
- Participate in customer briefings, industry events, and strategic CSP engagements
Education & Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in product management, cloud platforms, virtualization, or service provider technologies
- Strong understanding of virtualization, hybrid cloud, and multi‑tenant infrastructure platforms
- VMware Cloud Provider / VCPP experience strongly preferred
- Experience working with CSPs, MSPs, hosting providers, or managed service environments strongly preferred
- Technical understanding and knowledge of the relevant industry
Knowledge & Skills
- Deep understanding of CSP operational models and managed services
- Strong knowledge of virtualization, cloud orchestration, networking, DR, and infrastructure automation
- Experience with cloud platforms such as VMware, OpenStack, Nutanix, Kubernetes, or public cloud platforms
- Strong customer engagement and cross‑functional leadership skills
- Ability to influence engineering and business stakeholders without direct authority
- Comfortable operating in fast‑moving, highly ambiguous environments
- Experience with agile product management tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

Compensation
United States of America: Annual Salary USD 172,000 – 349,000 in California // 152,000 – 349,000 in Texas. Salary ranges reflect base salary; variable incentives may also be offered.
