Job Description:

Role Summary: Our Compute Category Portfolio Specialist (Alletra 4k) executes global business plans for this specific portfolio, driving portfolio strategy decisions, execution, communication and enablement to sales teams and partners across the Geography. Defines demand generation priorities with local marketing, to achieve business targets and gain market share developing to the overall Geography. Represents Compute Geo GTM needs for product / portfolio decisions, forecasting and planning. Develops the Compute Category and manages the Product Lifecycle, including the programs, business development and suppliers' partnership, for New-Product-Introduction (NPI) readiness, growth and end-of-life. Promotes and coordinates adoption of the GTM programs across the pre-sales and sales team in the Geography. Brings the product and portfolio expertise in strategic deals and business management decisions, for revenue growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Portfolio Management (Alletra 4k specific)
  • Drive the Geo NPI readiness and EOL management, including direct and indirect sales motions.
  • Manages the GTM Portfolio across the Compute category, for the assigned categories and defined Geography.
  • Defines, plans and manages the Geo unit forecasting incl. mix & top deals, and coordinates the execution.
  • With the sales and strategy & planning teams, monitors and analyzes business performances by product/solution area and customer segment / route to market, to identify gaps and drive corrective action.
  • Provides input on local market price dynamics and recommendation on deal pricing escalation; defines and manages local pricing initiatives.
  • Optimize Geo/Country supplier funding for strategic deals.
  • Compute Category point of contact / escalation for sales/presale teams.
  • Deep understanding of local market(s), market drivers, competitive landscape, market opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Broad understanding of the category product, business management and sales challenges and strategies.
  • Actively contributes to the definition of the category business plan.
  • Establishes relationships and represents team with sales force and other partners at senior level.
  • Product line and quota responsibility for a significant share of the product range, or a specific customer segment.
  • Functional responsibility for the team in one or several areas (market analysis, marketing engagement, SF communication etc).
  • May participate in engagement partnership with external IT vendor.

Education and Experience Required:

  • University or Bachelors degree in Marketing or Finance.
  • Typically 5-8 years of professional experience with a combination of Marketing, Sales, Business Planning experience preferred.
  • Consumer and/or Commercial Partner management expertise.
  • End User Acct management as an alternative.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • IT industry knowledge.
  • Business planning skills, multidimensional.
  • Financial planning and modelling skills, comfortable to manage high complexity business planning and reporting.
  • Strong communication skills at senior management internally and externally.
  • Knowledge of promotional marketing processes and practices.
  • Negotiation skills and ability to frame the product value proposition to customers/partners.
