The role will help drive business growth by developing and delivering commercially focused marketing strategies that generate qualified sales leads (SQL) that will support revenue growth across Hewland Engineering (and the wider Hero Motors Group). Working closely with Business Development, Engineering and Leadership teams, the role will promote Hewland's engineering capabilities across the motorsport, high-performance automotive, aerospace and defence sectors. Success will be measured by lead generation, pipeline growth and contribution to sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies that generate qualified sales leads and support business growth.
  • Support initial conversations with MQL to qualify into SQL.
  • Support qualification discussions, and introductory pitches with prospective clients where required.
  • Deliver targeted campaigns across digital, printed content, email and social media channels.
  • Build prospect databases and support outbound business development through account-based marketing and lead nurturing.
  • Manage the company website, social media, marketing collateral and digital content.
  • Plan and coordinate exhibitions, trade shows and customer events to maximise brand exposure and lead generation.
  • Support the maintenance of CRM data, monitor campaign performance and report on pipeline and marketing ROI.
  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis and identify new market opportunities.
  • Work closely with Engineering and Sales teams to translate technical capabilities into compelling customer messaging.
  • Manage external marketing, working closely with the retained PR and creative agencies and manage the marketing budget.

Essential Experience

  • Degree qualified in Marketing, Business or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum five years' marketing experience within an engineering, manufacturing or another technical industry.
  • Proven track record of generating sales leads through marketing activity.
  • Experience supporting business development and sales teams.
  • Strong digital marketing, CRM and content creation experience.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information to both technical and commercial audiences.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience within aerospace, defence, motorsport, automotive or advanced manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of HubSpot CRM and account-based marketing.
  • Experience working with international teams.
  • Additional European language skills.
