Our client is a well-established and growing engineering business specialising in the manufacture, maintenance, and refurbishment of specialist vehicles. Due to continued expansion, they are seeking a Workshop Technician to join their skilled and supportive team based in Kidderminster. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically minded individual looking to develop their skills within a varied, hands-on engineering environment. Candidates from automotive, HGV, plant, agricultural machinery, maintenance, or general engineering backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Full product training will be provided.
Workshop Technician Responsibilities:
- Carry out fault finding, repairs, and maintenance on specialist vehicles and equipment.
- Complete refurbishment work to a high standard.
- Undertake welding and fabrication repairs where required.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and identify effective repair solutions.
- Complete service and maintenance documentation accurately.
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with company standards.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment.
- Work both independently and as part of a collaborative workshop team.
Workshop Technician Requirements:
- Previous mechanical experience within a workshop, engineering, automotive, HGV, plant, agricultural, or similar environment.
- Strong practical hands-on skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical faults.
- Welding experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Knowledge of vehicle electrics and hydraulics would be beneficial.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills.
- Good organisational and problem-solving abilities.
