To be discussed - paid shift handover at 1.5x + 15% shift rotation uplift (post sign-off)

The Role

We are seeking a

Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join the Site Maintenance Team. You will be responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, supporting production performance and maintaining safety and quality across the site.

This is an hands‑on, fast‑paced role involving reactive, preventative and corrective maintenance, as well as supporting process improvements and operator upskilling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering breakdown support across the site as part of a rotating shift pattern.
  • Diagnose faults, identify root causes and implement improvement actions.
  • Carry out PPM tasks and respond effectively to unplanned maintenance.
  • Plan and agree daily/weekly tasks with the Maintenance Manager and Engineering Team Leader.
  • Manage spare parts usage and help maintain effective stock control.
  • Identify opportunities to improve PPMs, processes and equipment reliability.
  • Support technical training for production operators (changeovers, shutdowns, CIP).
  • Operate production equipment when required to provide cover.
  • Ensure safe operation, fault finding and maintenance of all machinery.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping within working areas.
  • Produce thorough handovers and communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • Adhere to all safety, quality and environmental procedures.
  • Carry out additional tasks as required by the Maintenance Manager or site leadership.

Skills & Experience

  • Multi-skilled engineer with strong mechanical skills and competent electrical knowledge.
  • Fault-finding experience within electrical systems and PLC appreciation.
  • Experience in PPM, predictive maintenance and reactive repair.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Self‑motivated with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures.
  • Experience in food manufacturing (or similar) beneficial.
  • HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
  • SAP experience.
  • TIG welding capability.
