An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Management Accountant to join a growing, technology-led business operating within the insurance sector. This is a highly visible role within a collaborative FP&A team, offering significant autonomy, exposure to senior leadership, and the chance to make a genuine impact in a fast-paced, private equity-backed environment. The successful candidate will take ownership of the end-to-end management accounts process while also supporting the ongoing development of reporting, controls, and financial insight across the business.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Full ownership of the monthly management accounts process across multiple group entities
- Preparation and review of consolidated management accounts
- Completion of balance sheet reconciliations and month-end reporting activities
- Production of Board and Executive reporting packs
- Delivering insightful reporting across areas including sales activity, customers and R&D
- Supporting the development of departmental and product-level P&L reporting
- Assisting with forecasting and budgeting processes alongside the wider FP&A team
- Driving continuous improvement across reporting, controls, automation and processes
- Leveraging financial systems and data to improve efficiency and insight
- Line management, coaching, and development of one team member
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA) with strong management accounting experience
- Proven experience producing accurate and timely financial information
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical ability
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive and improvement-focused mindset
- Previous experience within a SaaS or technology-led business would be advantageous
- Exposure to systems such as SAP, Jira, or Salesforce would be beneficial
- Prior people management experience, or clear readiness to step into a leadership role
