We are really excited to be working with our client Herefordshire and Worcestershire Group Training Association and supporting them in looking for an experienced Engineering Instructor to deliver high-quality training and support to apprentices and adult learners. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong engineering background who is passionate about developing future talent and helping learners achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities of an Engineering Instructor
- Deliver engaging engineering training to apprentices and learners
- Plan and prepare lesson materials, schemes of work, and training resources
- Monitor learner attendance, progress, and achievement
- Provide constructive feedback and prepare learners for assessment
- Support apprentices through regular reviews and development discussions
- Liaise with employers, colleagues, and stakeholders to support learner success

What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Level 3 qualification (or above) in a relevant engineering discipline
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to motivate and support learners of varying ages and abilities
Desirable:
- Apprenticeship-trained background
- Teaching, training, assessor or verifier qualifications
- Knowledge of apprenticeship standards and engineering qualifications
- Understanding of safeguarding, Prevent and British Values
