The Role
- Set and operate CNC cylindrical and universal grinding machines
- Manufacture high‑precision components to exacting quality standards
- Edit and optimise CNC programmes using Fanuc controls
- Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Carry out quality checks using precision measuring equipment
- Support continuous improvement and health & safety initiatives across the machine shop
Requirements
Essential:
- Experience setting and operating CNC grinding machinery
- Strong understanding of cylindrical and universal grinding processes
- Knowledge of Fanuc CNC controls
- Ability to work from engineering drawings and specifications
- Previous experience within a busy manufacturing environment
Desirable:
- Ability to programme Fanuc controls from drawing
- CNC grinding programming experience
- Apprenticeship or recognised engineering qualification
