Temporary Business Support Receptionist
Location: Worcester
Pay: £15 - £17 per hour
Duration: Temporary - with a chance of going perm
Hours: 08:00 - 04:30 PM Full-Time | 37.5 hours per week
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established global organisation for a Temporary Business Support Receptionist based at their Worcester office. This role sits within the Facilities team and is ideal for someone who enjoys a varied position combining reception, administration, and office coordination. You will act as the first point of contact for visitors and calls, while also supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the office and providing administrative assistance across multiple departments.
The Role - Temporary Business Support Receptionist
As Business Support Receptionist, you will play a key role in ensuring the office operates efficiently while delivering a professional and welcoming front-of-house experience for visitors, staff, and clients.
Key Responsibilities - Temporary Business Support Receptionist
- Office & Administrative Support
- Process daily post and manage outgoing correspondence and parcels
- Maintain office supplies such as stationery and kitchen items
- Organise meeting rooms and office space for internal and external meetings
- Maintain both physical and digital filing systems across departments
- Reception & Coordination
- Manage incoming switchboard calls and direct enquiries appropriately
- Welcome visitors and manage visitor sign-in procedures
- Arrange meeting room bookings, refreshments, and lunches
- Training & Event Support
- Support the coordination of training sessions and webinars
- Prepare training materials and documentation
- Arrange meeting rooms, refreshments, and attendee registrations
- Systems & Database Administration
- Maintain and update customer records and databases
- Process website enquiries and route requests to relevant teams
- Support the administration of internal systems and documentation
- Health & Safety Administration
- Assist with the coordination of staff training and compliance records
- Maintain training schedules and documentation to support audits
- Travel & Visitor Coordination
- Assist with corporate travel arrangements including flights, hotels, and transport
- Coordinate itineraries and logistics for visiting colleagues and stakeholders
About You
We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive, and confident dealing with people at all levels. You will ideally have:
- Experience in a busy administrative, reception, or office support role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisation and time management abilities
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and office systems
- A professional and welcoming manner when interacting with visitors and colleagues
- A proactive, team-focused approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks
Desirable
- Experience supporting front-of-house or hospitality arrangements
- Familiarity with booking systems, databases, or CRM platforms
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Education
- GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
- Further education or degree-level qualification desirable but not essential
