About the Role
We’re looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Stock Controller to join a busy manufacturing operation. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring the efficient flow of materials throughout the production and warehouse processes. This position would suit someone with previous stock control or inventory management experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and has strong analytical and system skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory records and stock management systems.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure materials are available to support production requirements.
- Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, shortages, and variances.
- Process stock transactions, including goods receipts, stock transfers, and stock adjustments.
- Work closely with purchasing and production teams to coordinate stock replenishment activities.
- Generate inventory reports and provide stock analysis to management.
- Monitor slow-moving, excess, and obsolete stock, recommending corrective actions where required.
- Ensure all inventory documentation is completed accurately and maintained in line with company procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives relating to inventory control and warehouse efficiency.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience within stock control, inventory management, warehouse administration, or a similar role.
- Experience working within a manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics environment.
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles and stock management processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and confident working with data and reports.
- Experience using ERP, MRP, SAP, or warehouse management systems.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work across multiple departments.
