There is now a great opportunity to join a well-established engineering company that designs, develops and manufactures a range of bespoke products as a Safety, Health & Environment Officer. As a Safety, Health & Environment Officer, you will join their existing team to ensure that compliance with legislative, organisation and environmental standards are achieved.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing SHE policies and procedures in line with UK legislation and organisational standards.
  • Conducting regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance.
  • Provide guidance on risk assessments, hazard identification, and control measures for all operational activities.
  • Investigate SHE incidents and near-misses, preparing detailed reports with recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Monitoring and analysing SHE performance metrics, preparing reports for management.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a Safety, Health & Environment or similar position.
  • Must be NEBOSH qualified and IMEA certified.
  • Experience working with highly hazardous environments.
  • Must have a strong background in safety engineering.
  • Must be a team player.
