There is now a great opportunity to join a well-established engineering company that designs, develops and manufactures a range of bespoke products as a Safety, Health & Environment Officer. As a Safety, Health & Environment Officer, you will join their existing team to ensure that compliance with legislative, organisation and environmental standards are achieved.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing SHE policies and procedures in line with UK legislation and organisational standards.
- Conducting regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance.
- Provide guidance on risk assessments, hazard identification, and control measures for all operational activities.
- Investigate SHE incidents and near-misses, preparing detailed reports with recommendations for corrective actions.
- Monitoring and analysing SHE performance metrics, preparing reports for management.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a Safety, Health & Environment or similar position.
- Must be NEBOSH qualified and IMEA certified.
- Experience working with highly hazardous environments.
- Must have a strong background in safety engineering.
- Must be a team player.
