Production Supervisor
If you are you an experienced leader with a passion for production and team development, this would be a great opportunity for a skilled Production Supervisor to play a pivotal role in driving efficiency and maintaining high-quality standards.
Role Summary
Lead and motivate teams to meet production schedules while maintaining quality standards and promoting health and safety policies.
Identify areas for improvement and implement lean techniques to drive operational efficiency.
Use your skills to coach and mentor teams, ensuring a high level of performance and continuous development.
Some key duties
- Prioritise workloads based on production schedules, ensuring timely completion of targets and adherence to OTIF (On Time In Full)
- Act as the first point of contact for all daily operational activities, managing day-to-day tasks and resolving any issues.
- Provide daily updates to the Site Manager and colleagues on production output, quality, and health and safety matters
- Maintain the highest quality standards for all products.
- Manage team performance and absence, fostering a motivated and high-performing workforce.
- Provide coaching, training, and development to ensure a multi-skilled team.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and company health and safety policies across the department.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness within the department (5S).
- Ensure timely material issuance to operators, reporting any stock issues to the planning department.
- Lead learning sessions to enhance team skills and knowledge.
Skills / Experience
- Proven experience as a team leader or supervisor, managing teams in a production environment.
- Hands-on experience with reading and analysing production schedules to effectively prioritise workloads.
- Skilled at monitoring and refining production processes and addressing production issues to minimise downtime.
- Strong experience in managing production deadlines.
- Knowledgeable in health and safety standards (IOSH).
- Experience in conducting regular inspections and audits of production lines.
- Ability to quickly address and resolve quality issues.
- Familiarity with working with a variety of materials.
- Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to working within an ISO9001 certified facility.
- Confident using ERP/MRP systems
- Lean Manufacturing certification.
- IOSH Working Safely certificate.
Based in Ledbury, our client is offering a salary of £36k (depending on experience)
