Product Engineer
Location: Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 + Benefits

We're recruiting for an exciting opportunity to join a well-established global manufacturer, supporting the development of innovative products used across the construction sector. You'll play a key role in shaping new product designs, improving existing ranges and working closely with manufacturing, sales, suppliers and customers across the UK and Europe.
This is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious engineer who enjoys solving technical challenges, working on new product development projects and seeing ideas progress from concept through to production.
The Product Engineer Role
- Develop new products and enhance existing product ranges
- Support projects from concept, design and testing through to launch
- Work closely with customers, suppliers and internal teams to identify product improvements
- Produce technical drawings, specifications and supporting documentation
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimise production processes
- Ensure products meet relevant quality and environmental standards
About You
- Experience within Product Engineering, Product Development, Design Engineering or a similar technical role
- Degree, HND or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design or a related discipline
- Experience using CAD and 3D modelling software
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as extrusion, injection moulding or fabrication
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Desirable
- SolidWorks experience
- Experience within construction products, building products or fenestration
- Understanding of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards
- Interest in sustainable product design and emerging technologies
- German language skills
