Office / Accounts Administrator (Part-Time, Flexible Hours)

£30 - £34k FTE (pro-rata), depending on experience
Up to 30 hours per week | Flexible across 4 or 5 days
Office in Martley and occasional home working available

Our client is a well-established business, based in Martley and they are looking for an experienced Administrator to support the day-to-day running of the business.

This is a varied and rewarding role working as part of a small team and offering flexibility around working hours.

The Role

As a key member of the team, you will play an important part in ensuring the smooth operation of the business.

Working closely with management, customers, suppliers and colleagues, you will be responsible for a broad range of administrative, operational and bookkeeping duties.

Key responsibilities include

  • Acting as a first point of contact for customers, suppliers and clients via phone, email and in person
  • Maintaining and updating company databases and CRM systems
  • Ensuring business records and data are accurate and up to date
  • Processing invoices, expenses and purchase orders
  • Sales invoicing and general bookkeeping duties
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Supporting VAT return and PAYE administration
  • Coordinating travel arrangements, accommodation and staff training
  • Managing office supplies and equipment orders
  • Scheduling meetings and taking minutes
  • Supporting compliance activities, including quality management and health & safety systems
  • Assisting with website updates, case studies and general website maintenance
  • Responding promptly and professionally to customer and supplier enquiries
  • Providing general administrative support across the business

Skills and experience

  • Previous office administration experience essential
  • Confident on all Microsoft applications
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
  • A proactive, positive and flexible approach to work
  • The ability to work independently and use your own initiative
  • Sage accounting software (desirable)
  • Microsoft Dynamics CRM (desirable)
  • ISO 9001 quality management systems
  • Bookkeeping and finance administration (preferred)
