Managing Director

As part of a globally successful group, we are seeking a dynamic and visionary Managing Director to lead this Worcestershire business through an exciting period of transformation and future growth.

The new Managing Director will play a pivotal role in reshaping the business, ensuring stability while driving sales and market expansion. This is not just a like-for-like replacement; we are looking for someone who brings fresh thinking, entrepreneurial energy, and hands-on leadership to take the business forward.

Your Role

As Managing Director, you will:

• Develop & Execute Strategy – Define and implement a strategic plan to enhance business performance and long-term growth.
• Drive Sales & Market Share – Take a hands-on approach to sales and business development, directly engaging with customers to build strong relationships and win new business.
• Lead & Inspire – Build and motivate a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and accountable work culture.
• Operational Excellence – Oversee all business operations, including supply chain management, customer service, and commercial activities.
• Stakeholder Engagement – Maintain strong connections with key partners, clients, and the leadership team based in Europe.
• Ensure Compliance – Uphold all regulatory, legal, and industry standards, including health and safety requirements.

Requirements:

You should be a commercially savvy leader with a passion for sales and business development, ideally from a manufacturing or engineering background. The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong senior leadership experience (MD experience is not essential but highly desirable).
• A proven track record in sales growth, with the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and a hands-on approach to leadership.
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
• A resilient mindset, with the ability to navigate challenges and drive change effectively.
