The Role
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing customer orders from receipt through to completion while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. You will work closely with logistics providers, third-party storage facilities, customers, and internal departments to ensure products are delivered efficiently and stock levels remain accurate.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Managing sales order administration from start to finish
- Liaising daily with customers, hauliers and third-party cold storage providers
- Delivering a high standard of customer service at all times
- Monitoring stock levels and maintaining inventory accuracy
- Completing weekly stock reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
- Raising invoices and ensuring orders are completed successfully
- Troubleshooting delivery, stock or order issues as they arise
- Working closely with finance regarding customer credit matters
- Collaborating with internal departments on stock and contract requirements
- Providing support and cover across the team when required
You will be a confident communicator who enjoys working in a busy environment and can remain calm under pressure. The successful candidate will be highly organised, adaptable and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous experience within customer service role
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritise and re-prioritise workload effectively
- Experience working within a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong IT skills and confidence using business systems
