Hewett Recruitment is delighted to be working with a well-established, medium-sized manufacturing business based in Malvern, to recruit a Finance Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive finance team where you can develop your skills and gain valuable experience.
The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance function. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with and providing cover for the purchase ledger
- Posting cashbook payments and receipts
- Completing weekly and monthly bank reconciliations
- Processing employee expenses
- Supporting twice-monthly payment runs
- Maintaining key monthly spreadsheets, including credit note logs, manual pricing reports and mileage trackers
- Assisting with a variety of ad hoc finance duties
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be proactive, organised, and eager to learn. You will have:
- Previous basic accounting experience
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confidence using Microsoft Excel
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach
