A growing technology business based in Hereford is looking for an IT Support Engineer to join their team, providing handsâon support across a range of systems, users and technologies. This is a fully onâsite role where you'll be a key part of the internal IT function, supporting users, maintaining systems and helping to keep dayâtoâday operations running smoothly.
The role:
- Providing 1st and 2nd line support, acting as a key point of contact for IT queries and ensuring issues are resolved efficiently.
- Providing helpdesk support and managing incoming IT tickets.
- Troubleshooting hardware, software and user issues.
- Supporting Microsoft 365 environments (including email and user management).
- Working with Active Directory / Azure AD.
- Assisting with system configuration, installation and testing.
- Monitoring systems and supporting network operations.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and ticket updates.
- Supporting users with varying levels of technical ability.
- Assisting with IT equipment, asset tracking and general administration.
- Collaborating with internal teams and supporting wider business needs.
Youâll also have the opportunity to get involved in new technologies, system improvements and ongoing projects.
About you:
- Previous experience in an IT support / service desk role.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across desktop and user environments.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Windows environments.
- Familiarity with Active Directory (or Azure AD).
- Good communication skills and a userâfocused approach.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Organised, adaptable and comfortable in a fastâpaced environment.
- Any experience with networking tools, security systems or monitoring platforms would be beneficial, but not essential.
