Hewett Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Production Operative on behalf of a leading manufacturer of medical products. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business in a hands-on role that combines production assembly and warehouse support.
Working Hours- Monday to Thursday: 08:00am - 5:00pm
- Friday: 08:00am - 1:00pm
- 39 hours per week
As a Production Operative, you will assist with the assembly, testing, repair and refurbishment of medical devices and overhead hoists, whilst supporting the day-to-day operations of the service warehouse.
Key Responsibilities Production & Assembly- Assist in the assembly and testing of medical devices and overhead hoists.
- Support the repair and refurbishment of returned products.
- Help troubleshoot manufacturing and assembly issues.
- Ensure products meet required quality and operational standards.
- Complete builds in line with customer orders and service requirements.
- Support engineering changes and continuous improvement activities.
- Pick, pack and dispatch parts for customers and field engineers.
- Assist with stock control and inventory management.
- Support goods-in and goods-out processes.
- Help maintain accurate stock records using company systems.
- Assist with stock takes and warehouse improvement projects.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Previous experience in a production, assembly or warehouse environment.
- Ability to use hand tools and assembly equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings would be beneficial.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Flexible approach to work and occasional travel if required.

- Ongoing temporary assignment
- 39-hour working week with an early finish every Friday
