Are you a Manufacturing Engineer who enjoys introducing new products, improving production processes and solving technical manufacturing challenges?
An established manufacturer is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to support new product introduction, production efficiency and the implementation of new machinery and technology.
The Role
- Introduce new products into production, supporting projects from technical preparation through to launch.
- Produce manufacturing documentation, including drawings, PFMEAs, work instructions, BOMs and costings.
- Design and develop production jigs and fixtures.
- Support the installation and introduction of new machinery and manufacturing technology.
- Improve production quality, efficiency and cost through structured continuous improvement.
- Work alongside Design, R&D, Production and Purchasing teams on product development and supplier projects.
- Maintain technical documentation in line with relevant quality and regulatory requirements.
Essential Requirements
- Qualification in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least two years' experience within a manufacturing engineering environment.
- Experience with 3D CAD, CAD/CAM and MRP or ERP systems.
- Ability to read and produce engineering drawings.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes involving plastics, aluminium and steel fabrication.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a practical, hands-on approach.
Desirable
- Experience with SolidWorks, Inventor or similar CAD packages.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement tools.
- Experience with machining, laser cutting, welding, tube bending or coating processes.
- Understanding of ISO 13485 or regulated manufacturing environments.
- CNC programming or manufacturing equipment experience.
