Pay Rate: £17.38 per hour

Contract: 12-Month Assignment

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week (8:30am-4:30pm or 9:00am-5:00pm)

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established international organisation for a Sales Administrator to join their busy and customer-focused support team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with administration, customer service, sales support, or order processing experience to join a professional business that values customer satisfaction, teamwork, and operational excellence. Whilst initially a 12-month assignment, there may be opportunities available beyond the contract term.

The Role

Working within a fast-paced sales support function, you will be responsible for managing customer orders from receipt through to delivery, ensuring customers receive accurate information and a high level of service throughout the process. You will monitor stock availability, track delivery schedules, manage order-related queries, and liaise with internal departments to ensure products are delivered on time. As customers rely on these deliveries to support their own production schedules, accuracy, attention to detail, and proactive communication are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing customer orders and maintaining accurate records throughout the order lifecycle.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for customer enquiries via phone and email.
  • Monitoring stock availability, delivery dates, and order progress.
  • Providing customers with timely updates regarding orders and delivery schedules.
  • Investigating and resolving order-related issues and customer queries.
  • Liaising with internal teams to ensure efficient order fulfilment.
  • Updating CRM systems and customer information.
  • Producing reports and documentation using Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Supporting customer accounts and the wider sales team.

About You

  • Previous experience within Sales Administration, Sales Coordination, Customer Service, Internal Sales, Order Processing, or a similar office-based role.
  • Strong communication skills with experience handling customer enquiries by phone and email.
  • Experience managing customer orders and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive, professional, and customer-focused approach.
