About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Hazardous Waste Site Operative to join our client's Stourport facility. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that ensures the safe and efficient handling of hazardous wastes, including oils and packaged materials. You’ll play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the site, from receiving and processing waste to storage and dispatch, all while maintaining the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Site Supervisor with daily operational tasks including receiving, testing, offloading, storing, and recording waste materials.
- Ensure all operations comply with site procedures, permits, and legal requirements.
- Store wastes correctly according to site procedures and permitted activities.
- Accurately record site data, including load details, stock levels, and non-conformances, using the vehicle weighbridge system.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping and ensure all operational and mess areas are clean and tidy.
- Communicate clearly with drivers, visitors, and colleagues across the wider team.
- Operate forklifts to safely move waste from vehicles.
- Identify tasks proactively and work as part of a team to support site efficiency.
- Flexibility to work overtime when required.
Skills & Qualifications
- Good written and verbal English skills.
- Forklift truck licence (or previous experience).
- Confidence working at heights and outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Previous site, plant operator, or labour experience preferred.
- Self‑motivated, solution‑focused, and methodical approach.
