About the Role
Location: Kidderminster
Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 8am to 4:30pm, Friday 8am to 3pm.
Salary: £28,000 to £32,000
Our client, a growing and friendly small business based in Kidderminster, is looking to recruit a Finance Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. This is a newly created role, offering the chance to make a real impact and develop your finance career within a supportive, hands-on environment. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you’ll assist with the day-to-day running of the accounts function, from processing invoices to supporting month-end reporting.
Responsibilities
- Processing purchase and sales invoices
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving queries
- Raising customer invoices and allocating receipts
- Assisting with credit control and payment runs
- Supporting bank reconciliations, credit card and petty cash management
- Maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with month-end processes
- Providing general finance and administrative support to the wider business
Requirements
- We’re looking for someone with a keen eye for detail, a positive attitude, and the ability to manage their workload effectively.
- Previous experience in a similar accounts or finance role
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- A proactive, team-oriented approach
- Studying towards or interested in pursuing an AAT qualification
- Experienced working in a small business or SME environment beneficial
