We are recruiting for a Finance Administrator to join a well-established international manufacturing organisation based in Ross-on-Wye on a 12-month temporary assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous administration or finance experience who is looking to develop their career within a busy finance department.
Working as part of a supportive finance team of nine, you will provide essential administrative support across a range of finance processes, helping to ensure financial records are maintained accurately and efficiently. This is a varied and multi-skilled role where you will work closely with colleagues across different levels of the finance function, from Finance Administrators through to senior finance personnel.
Supporting a broad range of activities across the department, you will gain valuable exposure to different areas of finance while developing a well-rounded understanding of business operations within a large international organisation. This role would suit an organised individual with strong attention to detail who enjoys working with data, systems, and processes and is keen to broaden their finance knowledge through working collaboratively across multiple functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Process employee expenses and ensure accurate record keeping
- Support the preparation of payments and finance documentation
- Maintain financial records and update internal systems
- Assist with account reconciliations and data checks
- Support month-end administration and reporting activities
- Process invoices and finance-related paperwork where required
- Assist with maintaining contract and agreement records
- Respond to internal finance queries and provide administrative support
- Work collaboratively with team members across multiple finance disciplines, supporting a variety of tasks and projects as required
- Support the wider finance team with ad hoc projects and reporting requirements
- Ensure finance documentation is filed and maintained accurately
About You
- Previous experience within an Administration, Finance Administration, Accounts Administration, Accounts Assistant, or similar office-based role
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Comfortable working with numbers and financial information
- Good communication skills and a positive approach to teamwork
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Enjoys working within a collaborative team environment and supporting a variety of finance functions
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Previous experience within a finance or accounts environment
- Experience using SAP, Sage, or other ERP systems
- AAT studies or an interest in developing a career within finance
- Experience within a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial business
