Looking for a varied engineering role where no two projects are the same? This is an exciting opportunity to join a specialist automation business designing, building and installing bespoke machinery and control systems for customers across the UK and North America. Working from a modern manufacturing facility, you'll be involved in the assembly, installation and commissioning of innovative automation equipment used across a range of industries.

The Role

  • Mechanical assembly and installation of bespoke automation machinery and systems
  • Build conveyors, process equipment and automated production systems from engineering drawings
  • Support installation and commissioning activities at customer sites
  • Assist with basic electrical wiring and control system integration when required
  • Work closely with workshop and service teams to deliver projects on time and to a high standard
  • Travel across the UK and overseas for installation projects (typically 30-40%)

Requirements

Essential

  • Experience building or installing industrial machinery, conveyors or automated equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Competent using hand and power tools
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Willingness to travel and work away from home when required

Desirable

  • Apprenticeship or qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience with pneumatic systems, valves or automation equipment
  • Electrical assembly or wiring experience
  • Experience working within manufacturing or food production environments
