We are seeking a Finance Director to join the Senior Management Team of a Worcestershire based high-growth business. This is a newly created position, where you will have the opportunity to really shape the financial strategy to support the rapid growth of the company - providing leadership, strategic insights, and financial guidance. Your expertise in M&A, strategic financial planning and cash flow management will be key as the company continues to scale and pursue new acquisition opportunities. This role would suit an FD with an entrepreneurial attitude, who thrives in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
Finance Director Responsibilities:
- Mergers & Acquisitions: Lead the financial due diligence process, evaluate potential acquisitions, and integrate newly acquired businesses to support the company's growth strategy.
- Financial Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement a financial strategy aligned with the company's objectives and growth plans.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Provide accurate, timely financial reports and insights to senior management and key stakeholders.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the budgeting process and provide ongoing forecasts to support decision-making and resource allocation.
- Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow planning and working capital management to ensure liquidity and financial stability.
- Cost & Risk Management: Analyse cost structures, implement cost-control measures, and manage financial risks to improve profitability and compliance.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture while maintaining strong relationships across departments.
Finance Director Requirements:
- Experience: Time-served in senior financial leadership roles with a proven track record of success, within a high-growth environment in the construction or manufacturing industry.
- Qualifications: Professional accounting qualifications (AAT, ACCA, CIMA) are advantageous.
- Leadership: Strong experience managing and developing finance teams, with the gravitas to lead at a senior level and influence strategic decision-making.
- Relationship-building: Communication skills will be essential to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, that are built on trust.
- M&A Expertise: Solid experience in managing the financial aspects of Mergers & Acquisitions, from due diligence to post-merger integration.
