Are you a commercially minded finance or business operations professional who enjoys improving processes, solving problems and making things work better?

Hewett Recruitment are working with a growing business to recruit a

Business & Finance Operations Transformation Lead for an initial 12-month transformation programme.

This is not a traditional accounting role.

You'll take ownership of key commercial and finance operations, including cash collection, credit control and invoicing, while identifying opportunities to streamline processes, introduce automation and create scalable ways of working.

It's a hands-on role where you'll have the opportunity to make a genuine and measurable impact.

Key responsibilities

  • Take ownership of cash collection and credit control, improving overdue receivables and cash visibility.
  • Build strong relationships with finance, accounts payable and procurement teams within major corporate customers.
  • Manage customer payment portals, purchase orders, billing queries and payment escalations.
  • Own the operational invoicing process across software licences, subscriptions, renewals and services.
  • Improve invoice accuracy, efficiency and turnaround times.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities across invoicing, credit control and wider commercial processes.
  • Improve workflows and information sharing between

Zoho CRM, Xero and customer payment processes .

  • Improve collaboration between Sales, Finance and other areas of the business.
  • Develop useful KPIs, dashboards and reporting around collections, invoicing and operational performance.
  • Document and embed improved processes that can support future business growth.

About you

We're looking for someone who is proactive, commercially aware and comfortable rolling up their sleeves to make improvements happen.

You'll ideally have

  • Experience within finance operations, credit control, accounts receivable, commercial operations or order-to-cash.
  • A strong track record of process improvement and operational transformation .
  • Experience managing invoicing and cash collection for large corporate or multinational customers.
  • Confidence dealing directly with customers to resolve payment and billing issues.
  • Experience implementing practical process automation.
  • Strong systems skills, ideally including Zoho CRM and Xero, or similar CRM/accounting platforms.
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to balance hands-on operational responsibilities with longer-term improvement projects.

What's on offer?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative and growing business where you'll have the autonomy to challenge existing ways of working and deliver meaningful change.

Rather than simply maintaining existing processes, you'll be encouraged to identify what's slowing the business down, implement practical solutions and leave behind smarter, more automated and scalable ways of working.

The role is initially offered on a

12-month fixed-term basis , with the potential to develop into a permanent opportunity depending on business requirements and the success of the transformation programme.

Very competitive salary and benefits offered.

Remote working with a requirement to be in the Malvern site 2-3 times a month.
